Infinits SUVs, the flagship SUV brand that is the brand of choice for many techies, are now being priced at $27,000.
The price has gone up significantly since the original 2016 model, which sold for $25,500.
The $27k increase comes in response to Audi and Nissan’s announcements of their latest models, which will be priced from $25K to $35K.
While the price increase isn’t new, it is one that has caused some ire on social media.
“This is just another in a long line of infinitesimal prices for this type of vehicle,” one user wrote on Instagram.
“We’re not getting any cheaper than $27K.
This is insane.”
Another added, “It’s like the Ford Fusion.
It’s so much better for your wallet than the Ford SUV, it’s unbelievable.”
The Audi and Volkswagen vehicles will be made by the German automaker.
The BMW is currently being produced by Audi.
While this isn’t the first time the Infinites luxury brand has gone against the trend, it may be the first to do so under new CEO Paul Chiasson.
The company recently released a new, lower priced SUV, the Audi R8, for the first half of 2019.
Infinis luxury brand was one of the first brands to get a new luxury vehicle at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
